Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
This policy explains what information the Gamelogue app (which may appear as "GameLog" during the beta) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Gamelogue is built and operated by an independent developer.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form.
- Voice recordings: the audio you record in the app.
- Content you create: transcripts of your recordings and the notes, playthroughs, characters, to-dos, and summaries the app produces from them.
- Sign-in details: the name of the device you sign in from, used to label your sign-in session.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider may record technical information such as IP addresses in server logs, for security and to keep the service running.
We do not use advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking, and we do not sell your personal information.
How we use it
- To transcribe your recordings and organize them into notes.
- To generate summaries, such as story recaps and character profiles, from your notes.
- To run your account, including sending password reset emails.
- To keep the service secure and working.
How AI is involved
Your recordings are sent to a speech-to-text service to be transcribed. Your transcripts and notes are then sent to an AI model to be organized and summarized. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete, so treat recaps and character profiles as helpful summaries rather than a perfect record.
Service providers
We rely on these providers to run Gamelogue. Each processes your data only to provide its part of the service:
- DigitalOcean — hosting, database, and file storage, located in the United States.
- Deepgram — transcription of voice recordings.
- Anthropic — the AI model that organizes and summarizes your notes.
- Resend — delivery of account emails, such as password resets.
- Apple — app distribution, including TestFlight, governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
- Voice recordings are deleted once they have been successfully transcribed. If processing a recording fails, the audio may be kept until you delete your account.
- Your notes and other content are kept until you delete your account. Notes you delete move to Trash, where you can restore them, and are permanently removed when your account is deleted.
- When you delete your account, your account and all of its content, including any stored recordings, are permanently deleted.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Gamelogue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can delete everything yourself in the app; for anything else, contact us. Gamelogue's data is stored in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. For significant changes, we will let you know in the app or by email.
